Sitemap Wizard is the most powerful yet the easiest to use XML and HTML sitemap generation tool for your Shopify e-store.
Once you install the Sitemap Wizard app to your Shopify store, the next step is the plan activation.
After you review and confirm the plan activation, you will be redirected to the settings page of Sitemap Wizard.
You can customize the app preferences based on your needs on this page.
Sitemap Page Header
The header title you enter here will be displayed on the HTML sitemap page on your website.
Sitemap Page Description
This is the tagline that will be displayed below the page header.
Include Homepage On The Sitemap
Once this option is checked, the homepage URL will also be added to your both XML and HTML sitemaps.
Page Layout
Choose the column number for the HTML sitemap page. The list of pages will be distributed to the number of chosen columns.
Exclude Collections
If you want to exclude specific collections from your XML and HTML sitemaps, please click the “Select Collections” button and choose collections you would like to keep excluded.
Exclude Products
Choose the product(s) you would like to exclude from your XML and HTML sitemaps.
Exclude Pages
Choose pages you would like to exclude specific pages from your XML and HTML sitemaps.
Exclude Specific Product Types
In addition to the collection, product, and page exclusion, you can also exclude specific product types. Simply write the product types you would like to exclude and separate each product type with a comma.
Once you are done with the settings, click “Save Settings” to apply new settings.
Click the “Dashboard” link on the top right to go to your Sitemap Wizard dashboard.
The Sitemap Wizard dashboard will show you both XML and HTML sitemap URLs.
It will take a few minutes to fetch the list of all your products, pages and collections and prepare your sitemaps.
In order to publish your HTML sitemap on the page, simply click “Copy Url” next to the HTML Sitemap row and insert this URL to the footer of your Shopify store theme.
In order to publish your XML sitemap on Google and other similar search engines, click the “Copy Url” button next to “XML Sitemap” and go to the search result control panel of your preferred search engines.
It may take a few minutes to scan your Shopify store.
